Born as a way to celebrate the famous Birmingham plant’s products, Pride of Longbridge, or PoL has grown considerably over the years, welcoming not just those cars born in Birmingham but also those with a wider connection to BMC, British Leyland, Austin Rover, Rover Group, MG Rover and most recently, MG Motor UK.
This means you can expect to see everything from a rubber-bumper Midget to a freshly-minted MG3 on show.
Owners from across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe will be there while a convoy of cars from Longbridge’s sister plant, Cowley (today known as MINI Oxford) will also join in the fun while representing the Oxfordshire-built cars.
The event is this Saturday, April 12th, at Birmingham’s Cofton Park – across the road from the MG Motor factory. Gates open at 10am, with the event finishing at 4pm. Entry is free, too. More details can be found here.
